[ He's sitting on the shore of the Nile at night, it's been weeks since he cleansed himself and the river of that individual's influence. There are still marks on his skin from where the damage was done but they lack any purple-coloring and look more like fading scars.
Khnum could get rid of them but that takes more energy and he'd rather save it for keeping Cairo afloat a little longer. The place is a lot of desert and maybe it's lucky that they got Khnum as their local god in their home away from home. He can make the banks surrounding the Nile fertile for planting and keep food flowing as easily as the water.
It also takes energy to keep the monsters out of the city. They don't have trees for protecting around Cairo so if he doesn't keep the people safe, more will die.
He has his bare feet in the water and is enjoying the coolness of the night breeze. Khnum loves Egypt even with its extremes. ]
